IQVIA has a strong pedigree in providing analytically based solutions to over 120 UK Healthcare organisations with a focus on improving patient outcomes.  We currently have 90 organisations using our Healthcare Benchmarking services and due to growth and the ability to provide the appropriate level of service to our clients we now need to recruit.

Our main offices for the Healthcare team are Stafford and London.  This role is location independent.

Role Purpose

The role is responsible for the timely and high-quality delivery of services to our Benchmarking clients based in England and Wales with the support of the wider IQVIA Healthcare team. The role is part of a dedicated team of consultants working on the implementation design, configuration and support of our Healthcare Benchmarking solution using the company's own applications along with third party proprietary business intelligence tools e.g. Qlik, Tableau. You will provide direction to clients on how to optimise the Benchmarking solution and provide direct support on the set up and management of dashboards in the solution. You will also be responsible for producing regular reports and presenting findings as appropriate.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the Healthcare environment as well as they current and potential future policies impacting Benchmarking. This should be fed into the ongoing development of the Benchmarking tool and it's use by clients as well as for the identification and evaluation of potential new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates within teams in the design, development and delivery of Benchmark consulting projects.
  • Reviews and analyses client requirements or problems and assists in the development of approaches and system configurations to provide cost effective solutions that ensure profitability and high client satisfaction.
  • Provides guidance to client project team members and fellow IQVIA Consultants. Performs qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions.
  • Recommends improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems.
  • May identify new business opportunities of follow-on work and new leads at assigned client.
  • Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Proactively develops broader and deeper knowledge of related consulting through on the job experience and participation in training opportunities.
  • When acting as Project Manager, proactively manages project timelines and manages day to day communication with the client and team members.

Skills, Experience and Education Required:

  • In depth related experience in Healthcare, ideally Acute hospitals
  • A good understanding of current policies and challenges in Healthcare matters.
  • Understanding of reporting / BI tools e.g. Qlik, Tableau
  • Understanding of how analytics can improve performance
  • Superb client relationship management
  • Excellent presentation, communication (especially listening) and client influencing skills
  • Ability and hunger to learn
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Analytical capabilities
  • Previous programming experience (e.g. SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, Microsoft SSAS, SQL) would be of advantage
  • Knowledge of Costing within the NHS
  • Knowledge of risk adjustment methodologies
  • Knowledge of statistical modelling (e.g. confidence intervals, standard deviation, regression analysis, SPC)
