Role Overview:

The role will involve two main areas:

  • Business Development with a portfolio of clients in the Swiss, Nordics and German markets involving maintaining contact with these clients through the network of IQVIA internal sales personnel, consulting leads, Medtech leads and RWE leads
  • Full project management of quantitative and qualitative Primary Market Research studies. This implies interacting with clients once projects have been won to ensure successful management of the project through to presentation of the results to the client.


  • Preparation of proposals in conjunction with the offshore teams and junior members of the onshore teams, comprising discussion of the approach to be applied and definition of research design, respondent samples to be interviewed and expected deliverables
  • For quantitative studies:
    • Questionnaire designing and definition of interviewer instructions
    • Definition of the analysis plan and instructions for data elaboration of results
  • For qualitative studies:
    • Preparation of interview guides, discussion guides and briefing documents
    • Formulation of reporting templates
  • Collaboration with the Field department for the coordination and supervision of the fieldwork phase
  • Analysis and interpretation of results including quality control of materials provided by the offshore team members
  • Openness to explore potential integration of Primary Market Research results with secondary data assets, which requires an in-depth understanding of IQVIA sales data, patient level data assets and prescriber data plus an appreciation of how AI/ML (artificial intelligence and machine learning) techniques can enhance the research findings and interpretation
  • Overseeing of the preparation of reports and presentations to the end client


  • Degree with an interest in Marketing/Market Research or Communication
  • Previous work experience of at least 10 years in a market research agency. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with experience in carrying out market research projects in the Pharmaceutical area, MedTech and Consumer fields at an international/cross-country level.
  • Experience of quantitative research techniques, ideally with the incorporation of multivariate techniques
  • Excellent skills of interpretation and analysis
  • Exceptional communication skills both at the written and oral level, good organizational ability with a team spirit; client-oriented
  • Experience of working with a virtual team since other team members will be based in Italy, UK, Spain, France and India
  • Excellent knowledge of English and of the main Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Willingness to travel around Europe for client meetings and presentations
