ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

The Security Architect (DevSecOps) role will be a technical member of the global security architecture function, which is one of the key pillars within the IQVIA Chief Information Security Office (CISO).


This role will be responsible for providing guidance and technical direction and strategy on IQVIA’s information security feature set.  This is a high impact role that may interact with a wide variety of stakeholders across IQVIA. 


  • Contributing to develop security architecture, frameworks, design patterns, standards, reference architectures and best practices on designated security domains.
  • Being an advocate and practitioner of DevSecOps, architecting and designing automated approach for security solution implementation, leveraging various programming/scripting languages and DevOps tooling.
  • Building strong relationship with business unit application teams, providing guidance and subject matter expertise on infrastructure (network, container, cloud..) security, API security, and secure DevOps across application teams in IQVIA.
  • Staying current with security technologies, predicting impact of technology changes, identifying gaps in existing security solution and recommending viable enhancements.
  • Driving or participating technology selection, PoC, implementation of new security technology solutions.
  • May partner with compliance, regulatory or other functions to ensure incorporation of security considerations across business unit application teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years of industry experience in security architecture, analysis, design, and development of enterprise solutions, using multiple technology platforms, frameworks and languages.
  • Experience in DevOps environment and security control in CI/CD pipeline
  • Strong infrastructure design and software development background, proficiency in Python, and/or Java programming preferred.
  • Deep knowledge on network security, cloud security (AWS), and API security.
  • Experience in software security architecture and design, with the ability to produce design artifacts clearly articulating intended security design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, must be highly collaborative with cross function teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, is preferred.
