Position Description:

Device Technicians will be tasked with troubleshooting, repairing, and updating new or currently in use medical devices. Prior experience as a Device Technician within a hospital is preferred. Prior experience as an electronics technician or similar background is required
Current product lines being supported are medical devices and equipment such as pumps, beds, lab equipment, and similar products used in various healthcare settings.
This role has the potential to include national and regional travel to support accounts. There is also a potential need to perform software upgrades from home. Any work that is completed must also be appropriately documented and reported against.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical upgrades
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble complex medical devices
  • Troubleshooting of equipment
  • Provide customer feedback to corporate teams to improve new and existing products

Position Requirements:

  • Biomedical Technician or Engineer or Electrical Technician or Engineer
  • Technical Certificate required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree’s preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields
  • Hospital or Industry Experience as Device Technician preferred
  • Skilled at both medical device product disassembly and reassembly, as well as electrical and mechanical workings of a device
  • Must have computer and software experience as there will be a large volume of data entry into various systems
  • Lab Experience is a plus
  • Excellent Communications Skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to Problem Solve effectively
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneeling and some lifting of equipment may be required of up to 50 pounds
  • An active and unrestricted driver license is required for this position
