Job Description

The Salesforce Analyst works within the Sales Operations Organization to process and ensure that all sales and/or quantitative data is captured in the appropriate database (CRM).  Daily Salesforce usage is required to process RFP’s and Awards. These items are provided by internal teams (Sales, Finance, Contracts, etc.) to process daily. This role requires daily internal support, attention to detail, and monthly deadlines. Proficiency using Salesforce, Lotus Notes and Excel. Must be comfortable using excel spreadsheets, creating pivot tables, writing formulas, and calculating fields within Excel.   
 RESPONSIBILITIES: This support role includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Review and Processing of RFP’s and newly awarded studies throughout the sales cycle in CRM (Salesforce). From the RFP received, proposal sent stage to pre-award and awarded stages.  Updating the opportunity and bid history fields within the study as required  and identifying opportunities that will require Strategy Calls and Strategic Pricing involvement.
  • Conduct verbal and/or written follow-up with internal colleagues regarding the information provided by this department including managing follow-up from SST on pending items for RFPs and sponsor inquiries and verifying contract analyst and study team assignments are made and f/u with leaders if needed. Scheduling New Award Calls with operations.
  • Perform quality Control edits on all documents/reports before issue to internal customers.
  • Will be responsible for developing custom reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.  Analyst will work with internal customers to gather requirements and propose ongoing enhancements and capabilities. Capture sales metrics data for sponsor financial reports and JOC meetings (e.g. Pending’s, Awards, Non-Awards, COs) on a quarterly basis.
  • Analyst will also assist with predictive performance analytics.
  • Data entry into ARIBA or sponsor systems for RFIs and RFPs.

Job Requirements


Degree in Life Science, Business Management or related field and direct experience in Proposals; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
