Role: Resource ManagerPosition PurposeThe Resource Manager (RM) role within Global Services is a critical one as the RM is the primary contact point for a Principal when a project is sold. The RM works in partnership with the senior leadership of IQVIA™ Consulting Services to ensure that a cross functional team is aligned to meet the client needs. In parallel, the RM works closely with each member of the project team to ensure that project roles meet development goals and provide the on the job training necessary to build a career in consulting. This is a position that has multiple sets of internal clients; the delivery team (Associates through to Associate Principals) and the senior team (Principals and above). Optimal resourcing decisions are central to the successful development and retention of the teams. Often this unique insight into our business and our core internal stakeholders results in the opportunities for the RM to lead internal organizational projects.The environment is dynamic and ever-changing, moving at the pace of our clients’ needs. The global RM team consists of RM professionals and former consultants who understand the sense of urgency that is synonymous with consulting. This is a fast-paced role where consultants are highly utilized and may frequently work on multiple projects in a client driven, results oriented environment. The pressure is high to resolve resourcing demands quickly, find creative solutions and make autonomous decisions. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Resource Management, based in London.Principal Accountabilities:We are looking for an individual who can:Identify and resource consultants to client projects, business development opportunities, thought leadership and internal initiatives in a fast paced environment.Collaborate effectively with global resource management colleagues to deploy consulting deliver team members in a manner that optimizes overall productivity while supporting their individual development objectives.Engage with the principals and other senior leaders to understand, plan for and ultimately meet the resourcing demands of their pipeline.Develop a deep understanding of the development goals of the delivery team through the creation of strong relationships. Leverage that knowledge to make effective resource management decisions.Monitor and communicate current and near-term delivery capacity.Maintain resource management data integrity in the time management/CRM system that supports resource and project management decisions.Flag resourcing capability gaps to the senior leadership as an input to hiring and to provide guidance into Learning & Development.Work on/lead internal projects with team members from the client-facing, HR, Finance, Operations and other internal functions.Education, Skills, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge:Bachelors degree or equivalent.Prior consulting delivery experience in a professional service environment.Proven problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build strong business relationships and influence with key stakeholders at all levels within the business.Excellent team-based interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with the full spectrum of our people from Associates upwards to Vice PresidentsAbility to demonstrate determination, diplomacy and resilience.Prior experience of resource management in a management consulting environment is a plus.Ability to rapidly assimilate multiple types of information from a variety of sources for effective decision making.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of life science consulting is a plus.#LI-POST
