Join a team of patient recruitment professionals focused on improving overall patient recruitment and retention effectiveness for IQVIA customers through data-driven methodologies. Collaborate with patient recruitment lead and clinical team to develop and plan referral network strategies on larger, multi-region studies. Communicate with and mobilize physicians to expand referral network support for study investigators; make additional recommendations as needed based on study performance. Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to deliver specific tactics of the recruitment/retention strategy. May represent IQVIA patient recruitment at site/sponsor-facing meetings (i.e. KOM, IM, F2F/LL, etc.) to present strategy/rationale, train CRAs and site staff, and conduct recruitment support workshops as required.
  • Serve as internal strategy consultant to project teams for data driven recruitment and referral services
  • Develop, drive and manage the strategic plan for physician referral and other data driven activities of assigned projects (mid and large size regional and global trials/programs)
  • Lead referral network mobilization efforts including, but not limited to physician outreach, on-site visits or consultations, and direct communications to physicians and medical staff.
  • Adhere to global and local data protection and proper use guidelines for all communications and information sharing, including appropriate documentation of actions per policy.
  • May mentor junior level staff on patient recruitment and retention strategy development 
  • Work together with recruitment operations lead to translate recruitment and retention strategy into operational and tactical plan to positively impact recruitment and retention rates for assigned projects
  • Management of assigned project budget(s) to meet financial and company goals (realization targets
  • Coordinate strategy related project activities for study team and sponsor to ensure that overall project milestones are met
  • Develop and implement risk management plans for minimizing impact on project objectives and deliverables.

  • Maintain knowledge of current recruitment trends, vendors, and technologies to increase productivity and recommend additional support as needed
  • Leverage internal intelligence to support and refine strategy on assigned projects
  • Lead initiatives as assigned by management to increase strategic differentiation of the Patient Recruitment Programs team
  • Work collaboratively with PAGs and SPN staff to create project specific advocacy and patient support strategies for assigned projects
  • Provide technical expertise as able in support of project specific and interdepartmental training efforts
  • Support continued process improvement to ensure quality in the unit

Job Requirements

  • In depth knowledge of the drug development processes across all functional areas
  • Knowledge and ability to apply GCP/ICH and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Direct experience in engaging physicians and medical staff to develop relationships and educate them about a product or service of value to them and potential patients
  • Proficient ability to analyze metrics and information; ensuring activities and strategies are data driven
  • Knowledge of Site & Patient Networks services, including direct patient recruitment and retention experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills effective presentation skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
  • Computer skills including proficiency in aspects of data analysis and presentation software, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including good command of English
  • Ability to influence effectively within SPN/PRP team and project teams including TSL, PL, CL, CRA and the customer 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care or other scientific discipline or educational equivalent; 7 yrs. of relevant industry experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience 
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
  • Will require travel
