PURPOSE

IQVIA is seeking a motivated intern with experience developing software who is ready to apply best practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment.  The Intern will gather requirements, develop, and deliver new software features and resolve software defects.  The Intern will also ensure changes implemented have clear traceability and meet validation criteria in our regulated industry.

We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

Responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders to elicit business goals, objectives, and requirements
  • Perform research and analysis in support of business goals
  • Assist in resolving business issues by developing software solutions
  • Document and deliver solutions in accordance with IQVIA SDLC standards, SOPs and procedures to ensure IQVIA's regulatory compliance
  • Deliver assignments on time and at the desired quality level
  • Support the transition of solutions to the developers and product support staff
  • Support the IT team in maintaining software
  • May help launch new solutions
  • May perform additional work upon request

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with Java (or Apex), .NET, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML/XML, CSS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to acquire and apply clinical research business knowledge

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Applicants should be Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems majors
