RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributes to the definition and maintenance of corporate technology standards.
  • Accountable for the Architecture Solutions for a given Business Area – how all the components, subsystems, platforms, and integrations fit together to meet the business needs and how the solution fits in with the greater enterprise context.
  • Submits Architectural Specifications to the Architecture Review Board and follows the submission to final approval, positively collaborating with the board on all remediation items.
  • Establishes and documents an architectural design that satisfies the solution’s architectural requirements. Ensures that the Architectural Specification for the solution is documented in the approved ARB format
  • Ensures that key project delivery team members understand the architecture so that the design and implementation will be consistent with the architecture specification.
  • Works on understanding the specific business domain, designing and creating solutions, and making technology decisions for systems of medium complexity


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of architectural principles (i.e. TOGAF)
  • Understanding of software integration (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON)
  • Diagramming and modeling experience (Visio and PowerPoint would be helpful)
  • Object Oriented Programming skills (C, C#, Java)
  • Understanding of Big Data technology concepts and technologies (NoSQL, Hadoop, etc.)
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning would be a plus




MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Pursuing Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Preferably a rising junior or senior
