We are excited to announce that at this time we are looking for a Project Lead to join our team of over 10,000 global field representatives in several regions making over 20 million product details annually for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. In this role you will be supporting a pharmaceutical company recognized worldwide for their innovative medicines they provide to patients, physicians and healthcare organizations.
 
Project Lead
 
The Project Lead will help develop and deliver the sales strategy, be responsible for the strategy execution and serve as a key information holder regarding the marketplace and thus, be able to react appropriately to that market as needed. They will also be responsible for delivering on all contractual obligations as agreed to with the client.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed national sales and market share objectives for assigned product.
  • Lead a national team of sales representatives in major cities across the country.
  • Fully understand the priority business goals and collaborate with executive leadership to establish performance milestones to achieve stated goals.
  • Conduct ongoing (on schedule) in-field assessments of performance, motivate and coach for improvement, mentor and share best practices and assist team to maximize performance.
  • Provide guidance and direction to direct reports regarding sales strategy, call planning, and frequency, execution of action plans (POAs) and performance management.
  • Work with and coach representatives to develop practical business plans focused on core business priorities to help drive achievement of performance goals.
  • Review and analyze reports to assure monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives are met.
  • Approve appropriate expenses and closely communicate with project coordinator to ensure there is an accurate accounting and documentation of all administrative tasks related to the team.
  • Create an atmosphere of trust as well as ongoing business development of target customers to ensure professional collaboration and best results.
  • Recruit, hire, train and coach new representatives when a territory becomes vacant.
  • Provide written feedback to each representative as a follow up to field visits
  • Manage and allocate budget in line with client expectations.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University Required (Advanced degree a strong plus)
  • Proven track record in leading a regional/nationwide pharmaceutical/medical device sales team
  • 5 years pharmaceutical/medical device management experience successfully leading a sales team at the National / Regional level preferred
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical/medical device sales experience required
  • Experience selling / leading teams in the Hematology/Oncology market preferred
  • Strong leadership, planning and organization, problem solving, decision making and technical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the client to ensure all customer goals and objectives are being met as planned
  • Strong business acumen and ability to clearly/concisely report detailed national sales results and data to Sales Management
  • Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a national sales team towards exceeding objectives
  • Ability to coach and council sales team to improve product knowledge, core selling message, resource utilization, product pull through and role model best practices
  • Leadership through professional collaboration and ability to build strong team relationships
  • Ability to recognize and assess business obstacles, develop alternative solutions, share solutions within the broader organization and create and maintain positive team energy
