This is a new position open to new graduates with career ambitions in a life sciences / tech start-up environment. In this role, you will support our project managers and business line lead in planning and keeping client and internal projects on track, improving practices and processes, preparing request for proposal (RFP) responses and winning new business. In addition you will support service and product management activities.

You will need to collaborate closely with other team members ensuring that tasks are defined, understood and on track, escalate and communicate issues, keep an eye on risks, schedules and workload, maintain up-to-date status information and create adequate reports.

Other responsibilities include assisting team members with the definition and documentation of product features and process improvements, supporting the process re-engineering efforts, and at times helping team members with research or support sales, marketing and communication activities.

OVERVIEW

  • Acting as the point of contact and communicating project status to all participants.
  • Assisting project management in project plan development and maintenance duties.
  • Working alongside account management to ensure successful delivery of one or more projects concurrently through effective coordination and distribution within projects.
  • Playing supportive role in fostering and maintaining customer relationship.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant project information, including such things as project schedule, status reports, and project documentation.
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives.
  • Tracking detailed project notes and records, change requests, and meeting minutes.
  • Providing administrative and coordination support as required across various accounts.
  • Complete all reporting and time sheets daily as dictated by your position
  • Any other duties as stipulated by your direct manager

SKILL SET

  • Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent, in a discipline such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology Systems
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications, along with ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and balance different stakeholder groups.
  • Great adaptability to change and flexibility in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • Team player, supportive of a collaborative team environment and culture
