Product Manager, Machine Learning & AI Solutions

RWAS Technology


Our esteemed RWAS Technology group seeks to expand the product line and launch a series of additional ML & AI products over the next few years. The enthusiastic, innovative and passionate- about-intelligent-tech-solutions Product Manager will help dynamically drive our product portfolio, working collaboratively with clients and cross-functional IQVIA services teams.  This involves growing current ML-led solutions and expanding into new product lines.




The role


The exceptional candidate will work directly with the IQVIA RWAS Tech leadership owning different product lines and software engineering cells, as well as sales & principals across global RWAS and the local business units. As part of this process, you will also work closely with the software engineering and HEOR or disease teams.

You will engage with technical teams including software engineers or statisticians, manage the product strategy including initial Go-to-Market (GTM) and establish product credibility with clients before scaling through IQVIA sales and GTM teams. To be successful in this role, it may help to have experience in managing predictive analytics teams and developing or commercializing analytics applications in healthcare and life-science.




A typical day might include:

  • Driving business development and strategic commercial opportunity identification; analysing potential partner relationships and technologies for product development
  • Writing analysis plans for projects, contributing to RFPs, pitching ideas effectively and persuasively to clients
  • Using your excellent communication skills to present and translate meaningful technical concepts to lay-audiences
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including developing or standing up core capabilities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute including driving IQVIA awareness & buy-in
  • Overseeing multiple concurrent successful product builds and deliver using diverse capabilities and teams - statistics, software, consulting - and ensure continuous improvements of project or product delivery
  • Travelling to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe
  • Building credibility such as through scientific publications, case studies or white papers.



Our ideal candidate: Experience

  • Substantial Product Management experience, including managing intelligent solutions and data science teams

  • Strong experience managing ML, advanced or predictive analytics solutions end to end with proven delivery capability including capturing requirements, designing analysis plans, managing junior analysts / programmers / software development teams/ data scientists

  • Excellent commercial experience, GTM channel penetration

  • Understanding of and experience in implementing analytics product strategies. Qualifications a leading product management framework a plus (e.g. Pragmatic, 280Group, SVGP)

  • Good knowledge of healthcare / life science issues involving Real-World Evidence or experience with patient-level, longitudinal data.




Our ideal candidate: Tech Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of machine or deep learning methods, NLP or computational cognition model for text comprehension, or other novel data analysis methods
  • Good grasp of classical statistical methods, such as fitting regression models, inference testing and sampling
  • Software engineering experience including agile methods, programming skills in languages such as Python, R, C++, Scala, Matlab, and data visualization.



Bonus points for:

  • Good knowledge of epidemiology / biostatistics, particularly analytical issues relating to studies of treatment effectiveness, disease progression, adherence, healthcare utilization,
  • Experience of a fast-paced, consultancy environment.

Our Machine Learning & AI Solutions team within the Real-World & Analytics Solutions (RWAS) Technology division is a global, fast-growing group of enthusiastic, collaborative and entrepreneurial individuals.
