Major Duties Performed (Main Functions)

  • Codes data, as required, transforming incoming paper data from suppliers to electronic data files.
  • Interprets written responses and enter into electronic coding systems allocating data to standard reference systems.
  • Performs quality assurance on coded data to ensure it accurately reflects the paper data submission.
  • Bridges data, comparing incoming transaction data with IMS’ reference data files to make a match or bridge between the two using manual or automated processes.
  • Answers queries from less experienced colleagues.
  • May co-ordinate the work of others.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience including data input. 
  • PC literacy skills including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on routine matters.
  • General knowledge of the company's products and pharmaceutical industry or field specific to a major function.
