Job description

Job Overview
We are looking for a data analyst to maintain and support OMOP data conversion refreshes in Production as well as new Client conversions. You will work with the development team to ensure ETL specifications are written accurately, and current refreshes are done on-time and according to schedule. You will ensure all backlogs are accurate and reflected in the correct priority. You will be the first line support for all internal and external inquires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements/business rules needed to ETL the source into OMOP CDM.
  • Troubleshoot problems presented by either an internal or external team
  • Facilitate and manage all meetings related to the work as well as document the business rules
  • Resolving any questions/concerns from the team during the refresh
  • Communicate deliveries of refresh to internal or external teams
  • Perform first line support duties for both internal and external inquiries
  • Ensure backlogs are documented properly and in the correct priority order
  • Participate in scrum agile meetings – sprint planning, retro, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint demo
  • Participate in OHDSI Community activities (e.g. working groups, tutorials, symposiums, etc.)
  • Able to work with external Clients in a professional manner

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to facilitate meetings
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • Ability to gather requirements/business rules
  • Ability to work with both the business stakeholders and development team
  • SQL knowledge
  • Knowledge of ETL process and databases

Nice to Have:

  • OMOP knowledge a plus
  • Rabbit in a Hat and White Rabbit a plus
  • Cloud Computing (e.g. AWS, Azure, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Big data/Hadoop knowledge
  • Medical and Pharmaceutical patient level data experience
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
