Placement Specialist - RN

Position Description:

Qualified registered nurses (RN) will be tasked with educating end users on new medical devices. The medical devices being educated on are vascular access and centrally inserted catheter devices. This is an education role, with no sales or patient care responsibilities.

This role allows you to utilize your nursing experience in a new way that does not involve patient care. Depending on your current schedule, this type of position can work in conjunction with your current position. Additionally, you will receive exposure to the medical device industry with the potential for future opportunities in this field.

This is a per-diem role with assignments ranging from one to five days in-service.

This position has the potential for local, regional and national travel with assignments ranging from 2 - 5 days per month.

Responsibilities:

Provide education and consultation in support of end-user education needs:

  • Conduct key activities related to product conversions in select healthcare facilities during evaluations and go-live
  • Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of product knowledge or understanding.
  • Assist in the delivery of education programs and product-related in-service education to support key customers.
  • Serve as an educational contact for customers using our products and conducting product conversions, trials and evaluations.
  • Follow-up with key accounts and customers to assess unmet education and clinical needs as it relates to successful product implementation.
  • Provide clinical and professional expertise to end users.
  • Provide customer feedback to corporate teams to improve new and existing products.
  • Serve as an education resource on the product.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Current RN Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Critical Care Unit experience and Advanced Placement experience required
  • Centrally Inserted Catheter Product experience required
  • 3-5 Years Current Consecutive Experience Inserting PICC's required
  • Currently placing at least 20 PICC's each month required
  • Ability to Travel overnight locally, regionally and nationally
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bending or kneeling may be required
  • Leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Clinical Educator, and Preceptor) preferred
  • Excellent Communications Skills
  • Enjoys presenting to Groups
  • Customer Focused
