We are excited to announce we are seeking a Government Account Manager (GAM) on behalf of a potential partnership with our Client and IQVIA. The purpose of the team is to support client pull through focus and grow sales in the Federal market and work specifically in the VA and DoD to create demand from providers that are not in the client’s current call plan. The program’s objective is to educate, expose and create opportunities for long-term trends for our client’s product and to report back to IQVIA project leadership and client leadership with updates and recommendations for improvement if needed.

Success Criteria

This project will promote our client’s key product to front line providers in both VA Medical Centers and Military Treatment Hospitals. The focus will be to grow key product business through facility, department and provider access and compliantly promote the product value proposition by indication to key PA’s, NP’s Residents, Fellows and Attending Specialty Providers. Success will be monitored with weekly report of progress, team best practices and to provide support to optimize the success of the team

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of Pharmaceutical Sales experience; Hospital experience, VA Medical Center (VAMC) and/or Military Treatment Facility (MTF) experience preferred
  • Existing relationships in the Federal Market
  • Hospital/VAMC/MTF launch experience
  • Experience developing, implementing, executing, and measuring success with accounts and formulary decisions
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the business drivers, operating environment, unmet needs of key accounts
  • Demonstrated skills at building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers, office staff and others in the customer influence network
  • Strong knowledge of the VAMC/MTF system protocol and purchasing process
  • Highly effective selling, negotiation, and account development skills
  • Exceptional time management skills needed to maximize customer face-to-face time and ensure coordination of efforts to drive account penetration.
