RESPONSIBILIES

  • Perform necessary manual calculations for special pays such as: retroactive, partial and Short-Term Disability payments
  • Accurately input data manually as needed to process transactions
  • Perform thorough audits on payroll data to ensure accuracy and avoid unnecessary rework
  • Maintain complete and accurate employee records in compliance with company policy and statutory requirements
  • Perform tax calculations, tax audits and adjustments as needed
  • Resolve employee inquiries regarding all aspects of payroll (tax calculations, labor laws, gross-to-net calculations, garnishments, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Support implementation of changes to policies and procedures as needed
  • Provide input for process and departmental improvements
  • Promote a customer-service focused, professional departmental
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of 401k & 125P Plans
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good to excellent verbal and written communications
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to work in a close team environment
  • Ability to work within procedures and deadlines
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed for special projects and yearend/year begin
  • Knowledge Workday HR is a plus

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in a multi-state organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive use of telephone communication requiring good verbal skills
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
