Nurse Educator
Patients are at the center of our business strategies. The Nurse Ambassador Program is an educational based program designed as a resource for patients living with Advanced Parkinson’s disease that are seeking education and/or have been prescribed a specific medication. Nurse Ambassadors will provide education, support and resources to help patients and caregivers begin and manage their Parkinson’s disease in conjunction with this treatment option. Nurse Ambassadors are responsible for participating in one-on-one communications (can occur in home or telephonically) with patients and caregivers. Since the program is strictly educational based, Nurse Educators do not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role.
The Nurse Educator will:
  •  Answer and respond to in-bound calls in an appropriate time frame for patients interested in learning more about a new medication for Parkinson’s disease.
  •  Answer questions about a Parkinson’s disease medication, in an on-label, compliant fashion, to patients seeking additional information and education.
  •  Coordinate and facilitate the connection between patients, caregivers and specific service offerings for patients prescribed this Parkinson’s disease medication to support successful onboarding and compliance.
  •  Provide educational training and resources to patients and caregivers for their prescribed medication throughout the patient treatment journey.
  •  Provide patient-focused education to promote behavioral change for the empowerment of patients to improve specific treatment compliance
  •  Foster appropriate dialogue between patient, caregiver and third parties (e.g., health care provider, Payor, Pharmacy)
  •  Provide in-home education to patients and caregivers to educate and confirm the patient and/or caregiver are able to effectively demonstrate key objectives to manage their prescribed therapy.
  •  Manage patient case-load in a large geography, becoming a valued team partner with knowledge of local resources.
