Role and Responsibilities 

The Associate IT Security Projects Director will support the CISO organization to plan and direct the activities of cross-functional teams assigned to IT Security projects supporting implementation and improvement of security safeguards.
This role plays a significant part in our Global Information Security team and will provide an excellent opportunity to liaise with key external and internal stakeholders locally while strengthening our Information Security function.
You will work closely with and will be part of a global CIO organization structure partnering with the Business Units community and their related teams. You will also find yourself working together with other IQVIA Information Security managers and staff, and with Business Unit teams. This is an opportunity to join and progress with a forward-thinking department. 

Your primary responsibilities:
•    Leads the planning and implementation of the information security program, focusing on cyber defense
•    Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and serves as a single point of contact.
•    Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
•    Defines project scope and objectives.
•    Initiates, plans, executes, completes project plan.  
•    Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including CISO, business units, CIO teams, vendors, procurement, legal, HR, and accounts payable.
•    Provides direction and mentoring to more junior level project managers.
•    Plans and manages resource allocations and task assignments within the project team.
•    Directs the activities of the project including overseeing budgets and schedules and executing testing plans.
•    Manages and controls scope, schedule and lead project teams preparing budget, prepare IT project plan, communicates project status and risks, with associated recommendations, to all stakeholders including senior management.
•    Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
•    Provides both IT security and business guidance to the project team.

Required Experience and Qualifications 
•    Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Information Security, IT Delivery, IT Program Management or other related areas
•    In-depth knowledge and experience in Cybersecurity including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Firewalls, Secure Email Gateways, CASB, CSPM, CWPP, Threat Hunting, Active Phishing Response
•    Formal knowledge of program management principles, processes, and tools
•    Track record of successfully leading large/complex global cross functional projects, strong global project management experience on complex, cross-functional, large implementations
•    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience in related areas is preferred 
•    A CISSP, CISM, CCSP or equivalent professional certificate is mandatory 
•    PMP, PMO, Scrum Certifications along with ITIL or IT architecture, such as TOGAF or SABSA are a great plus
•    Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards such as CobiT, ITIL, ISO27001, NIST cybersecurity framework 
•    Working knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements frameworks related to information security for healthcare data, such as HIPAA, EU Data Protection Directive and/or equivalent regional frameworks is preferred 
•    Excellent written and presentation skills, with ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with leadership, solution architecture, software engineering, testing and infrastructure teams
