Job Description

IQVIA is seeking a Nurse Adviser Assistant (either HCA 4 level or Nurse Associate (NMC)), in the Midlands to work with patients with Parkinson disease within a community setting. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with Nurse Advisor in APO-go therapy to provide feedback and to discuss patient management and support
• Submit  daily/ weekly / monthly administration and reports 
• Provide timely feedback to NAA and line manager on any disease/therapy area developments pertinent to APO-go therapy
• Attend national and North / South nurse meetings as required
• Arrange patient visit activities as agreed with NAA/Manager
• Work with NAA/ line manager to plan individual objectives and goals to ensure quality service provision
• Develop HCP working partnerships to meet with NHS and patient therapy expectation
• Ensure high standards of care  through on-going performance evaluation and review
• Work with NAA to achieve honorary contracts in secondary care as required
• Demonstrate a multi skilled approach, using available learning and technology
• Keep up to date records whilst adhering to agreed protocols to support clinical decisions
• Maintain a level of skills and competencies required for the role
• Work within professional codes of practice and nursing guidelines
• Implement agreed visit protocol in conjunction with NAA for optimal patient support
• Work closely with NAA and with local NHS partners in neurology and elderly care
• Adhere to the KAM / NAA contact protocol in the interest of expert partnerships
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Ensure honorary contracts are in place
• Ensure all documents are kept up to date records
• Maintain collaborative, inter-professional links with colleagues, external healthcare professionals and other agencies.

Experience Required

HCA 4 level or Nurse Associate (NMC)

Excellent face-to-face, written and telephone communication skills and the ability to adapt these to all levels
Ability to explain and simplify complex information, both verbally and in writing
Computer literate with knowledge of all MS packages
Neurology experience, preferably with PD
An understanding of Parkinson’s Disease and the key issues related to its management
An understanding of clinical governance and evidence based practice

Eligibility to work full time in the UK 
Current full UK driving licence (no more than 6 pts.)
