Oncology Evidence Network (OEN)

We are an innovative and fast-growing unit within IQVIA. Our mandate is to build a network of cancer research centers to facilitate scientific studies on behalf of IQVIA’s pharma & biotech clients with focus on oncology. These studies generate insights that directly contribute to access to novel treatments, better patient care, and better patient outcomes for some of the most vulnerable patient groups. Within IQVIA, we play a pivotal role in supporting the broader IQVIA study business.

Purpose or the role

A crucial first step in our business generation is to develop convincing proposals in response to potential client requests. These proposals require effective communication within our partner network of research centers, as well as internally, with various IQVIA departments to collect and present the relevant facts enabling a decision making on the award of the projects.

The role will coordinate information gathering internally and externally and provide convincing proposals targeted at our clients. An important aspect of the role is to create processes and systems (e.g., knowledge management, selling processes) to facilitate our effective and swift responses as we grow both in partners and in study requests.

The position involves a close collaboration with both; OEN team members and other internal IQVIA teams – for example, Integrated Real-World Evidence & Solutions team (IRES).


OEN - management of the day-to-day tasks to operate, grow, and continuously improve the Oncology Evidence Network:

  • Coordination of proposals and pro-active Go-To-Market activities (e.g., internal triage of project requests, liaison with network sites, development of marketing materials, etc.)

  • Development of new initiatives to grow the network into adjacent disciplines

  • Management of internal project delivery / BD teams including mentoring, education, and helpful guidance

IRES – acting as a subject matter expert, representing OEN during RWE studies/RWD projects across oncological and other indications:

  • E.g., joining key client meetings, supporting strategic center discussions, etc.

  • There is a possibility to deepen the collaboration and to participate in the operational delivery of IRES projects (e.g., data landscaping, integrated evidence strategy, observational studies, external comparators, etc.) as well as in project management activities

Experience and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a science or business-related field

  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare/life sciences with focus on strategic business cases, product development, technical architecture

  • Previous experience in consulting is a strong advantage

  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline

  • Knowledge of current events and developments within an industry and major competitors

  • Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace

  • Knowledge of professional/trade associations, key people and companies

  • Effective time management skills
