Role, Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead the development of new initiatives and projects in the Patient Support Programs and Solutions businesses in Italy and will be responsible for introducing new Clients and developing existing ones.

Main responsibilities:

Primary focus of this role is to bring his/her portfolio of contacts and experience as well as develop solid relationships with Clients and position/ sell engagements for the IQVIA Patients Solutions at the major life science and pharma companies, supporting and working in collaboration with the dedicated Business Development Team of IQVIA Patients Solutions.

This includes: 

  • Activate and introduce already developed contacts and relationships in synergy with the existing IQVIA network
  • Build close client relationships at the dedicated accounts
  • Identify and qualify opportunities on assigned clients and/ or prospect
  • Focus his/her Business Development portfolio of services proposal on innovative services, with a technological approach toward digital solutions
  • Prepare client discussion papers and project proposals
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with all relevant stakeholders and close the deal
  • Present proposals to Clients, receive feedback and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain, develop relationships with senior Client stakeholders throughout the project
  • Support design, delivery and management of innovative solutions, projects for Clients
  • Work with Sales Account, Business Development Team and Line Managers to ensure that any project, staff or communication issues are accurately and promptly escalated and resolved.

Candidate Profile

  • 9+ years of work experience in Sales, Business Development of Patient Solutions projects in Italy;
  • Proven track record of successfully developing Patient Solutions projects with a focus on digital projects;
  • Proficiency both in Italian and English;
  • Proven network within life science companies at senior level;
  • Expertise in BD with a strong record of successful deals;
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, from ideas generation to implementation and launch, driver, willingness to take risks with strong hunting skills, but also long-term strategic thinking regarding development of an account;
  • Hands-on, with strong issue-based consulting and conceptual skills and an ambition for innovation;
  • Analytics and Problem Solving skills are a must;
  • Excellent listening and communication skills;
  • Team working skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively across complex networks, internally and at the client, and to influence organizations;
  • A willingness and ability to travel.

Location: Rome or Milan (hybrid)
