IQVIA is seeking a medical writer and behaviour scientist to join our team designing immersive & engaging clinical trial training tools and experiences

Who We Are

The Global Events Team at IQVIA creates experiences that are effective and unexpected. We incorporate the latest research on adult learning principles and behavioral science. We use creativity to inspire and engage.

Our purpose is centered around a desire to improve healthcare and deepen our understanding of human behavior. We are motivated by a mission to ensure our friends and families can take a walk in the woods, get on a plane and go somewhere new, listen to music, snuggle a baby, try a new restaurant, and live life to the fullest.

Our team is a tightly knit, collaborative, and intellectually curious group of people with a unique blend of backgrounds and experience. We are continually pushing each other to improve our solutions and are in search of a talented writer and behavioral strategist to help shape the written expression of our work.

About the Medical and Behavioral Strategist

Work alongside our Training Architects and Creative Designers, contributing medical writing and HCP behavioural insights to create effective and immersive experiences for clinical trial training and engagement.

We’ll look to this role for their insights and they’ll be highly involved in the strategic and creative process.

Help champion solutions from concept to execution. Interface directly with physician leads, creating a bridge between the clinical need and our creative solutions.

Help assess our experiences post event to gather and document insights. Look to continually refine strategies for deeper efficacy and engagement.

This role has two direct reports, both editors who manage timelines for presentations and edit slide decks.

This position is home-based with occasional meetings in our Durham office and frequent collaboration with a globally-distributed team. IQVIA offers a competitive salary and great benefits, including a profit-related annual bonus, paid leave, and private health insurance.

Who You Are

Credentialed:

You hold a PhD in a social science field such as health communications, psychology, behavioral science, or related. You enjoy interfacing with key opinion leaders and clinical experts but also sharing your deep knowledge with others who do not have medical backgrounds.

Empathetic:

You have the desire to empathize with individuals including a diverse global audience of physicians and care teams who are passionate about exploring new treatments for patients and improving the health of their communities. Much of the written content you will create is about the patient journey. You enjoy an opportunity to research global cultures and bring to patient stories to life in the many regions where our trainings are held.

Resourceful:

You may not know all the answers, but you have a proven track record of working through difficult challenges by independently researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions.
