We are seeking an enthusiastic Manager, Statistician/Business Analyst within our Business Analytics & Decision Support team within QA!
The Manager, Statistician/Business Analyst will enable IQVIA QA to identify statistically significant analyses in our underlying data such that we can predict the levels of quality issues, number of CAPA and findings from Internal Audits, Customer Audits and Regulatory Inspections.  To conduct statistical testing on our data and provide insights not immediately evident in our dashboards.  Also to allow us to offer Quality Services to our Customers by benchmarking their Quality Data with their competitors such that they can make changes to their systems and policies to increase quality, value and financial return.
  • Support the Business Analytics and Decision Support (BADS) team to perform analyses of data related to deviations of good clinical practice (GCP).  This will require the development of clear hypotheses and use of appropriate statistical analyses utilizing data from disparate sources (databases/tables) to develop actionable insights that support continuous process improvement. 
  • Independently develop analysis plans and incrementally modify these plans based upon insights derived from data as well as other environmental inputs.  
  • Display results and insights in intuitive and visually impactful manner
  • Provide consultation to clients on underlying hypothesis and trends in data from multiple sources.
  • Participate in function and/or corporate initiatives, special project assignments, and as a client liaison or departmental cross-functional liaison.
  • Work with automation experts to support the introduction of machine learning techniques, such as the automatic interpretation of multiple text fields in databases to reach decisions.
  • Automate statistical analysis within standard reports to increase our signal-to-noise ratio and thereby predicting trends that can be rectified before a process goes out of control.
  • Measure and analyze internal processes automatically to allow for continuous improvement, leading to consistent, quantifiable savings in time and labor, without compromising Customer or Regulatory expectations or needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, with preference of Industrial Engineering, Business Process Optimization, or Statistics
  • 1-3 years of the relevant industry-experience in QA, or analytic aspects of Quality Management an advantage, but could suit new graduate with a passion to learn and a desire to make a positive difference.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention and accuracy with details
  • Good working knowledge of Spotfire and Sparta TrackWise or other leading eQMS an advantage
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma an advantage
  • Strong commitment to quality and timelines
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Proficient at solving complex scientific problems and able to articulate complex issues verbally and in visual presentations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
  • May require occasional travel.
