Role and Responsibilities:
The VP Cyber Fusion Centre role presents a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the development, prioritization and ensure execution of the Cybersecurity Strategy through the secure operation of the IQVIA global information technology (IT) infrastructure and processes as well as design, maintenance, ongoing improvement and delivery of information security operational processes by utilizing both technological and organizational safeguards across the enterprise.
This role plays a key part in our global Digital Business Security & Services (DBSS) team and will provide an excellent opportunity to liaise with key external and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with both the CISO and our Chief Information Officer (CIO) and their direct reports within IQVIA. You will be part of a global CIO organization structure partnering with the Business Units community and their related teams while directly managing the team of Cybersecurity professionals across the domains of Threat Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Security Systems Support and Security Engineering.
You will also find yourself working together with other IQVIA Information Security managers and staff, and liaising regularly with senior management at IQVIA, including Business Units leadership teams. This is an opportunity to join and progress with a forward thinking department.
Principal responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to the Cybersecurity Strategy by identifying and proposing necessary improvements to a landscape of technical and organizational security safeguards, including research and assessment of new capabilities, technologies, and systems
• Lead the team of Cyber Fusion Center professionals to deliver broad spectrum of enterprise-grade Cybersecurity services globally, including both technological and organizational capabilities
• Lead and ensure delivery of cybersecurity operational processes through both organizational and technical security safeguards including, but not limited to the domains of: Threat Intelligence, Detection, Hunting, Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Security Systems Support, Security Requests Fulfilment, Security Analytics
• Lead all necessary activities aimed at obtaining relevant and up-to-date industry insight and operational intelligence on new and emerging cyber-attack threats with potential to harm company systems and assets
• Lead and ensure delivery of cybersecurity incident resolution processes, utilizing effectively resources of the internal team and managed security services providers as and when necessary
• In collaboration with appropriate senior stakeholders such as Human Resources, Legal, Privacy, Internal Audit, Finance, Business Operations, and Business Unit leads, lead the effort on identifying appropriate response to potential high severity incidents and crisis events
• Lead highly sensitive and confidential cybersecurity investigations ensuring delivery of necessary reports and timely completion of all investigative, containment as well as corrective and preventative actions
• Lead and ensure effective delivery of Cyber Fusion Center operational solutions, systems and services, including full project lifecycle activities such as planning, design, delivery and transition to operation
• Lead the support for delivery and transition to operations for all other DBSS-owned operational solutions, such as Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)
• Lead the Security Engineering function to ensure operational maintenance, configuration, upgrade, patching for all DBSS-owned operational solutions as well as migration, re-platforming or decommissioning of such solutions as necessary
• Contribute to the improvement initiatives of the DBSS Program by providing requirements and designing operational processes for new or improved security safeguards
• Support delivery of the organization’s IT Asset and Service Management (ITASM) processes by ensuring necessary security reviews and approvals are provided on a timely basis
• Collaborate with the DBSS leadership team and contribute to the research focused on identifying emerging technology solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide better value, provide more capabilities, reduce risks, and improve security posture
• Engage with and direct activities of third-party specialist service providers and vendors where necessary to support Cyber Fusion Center program and operations, including carrying out vendor and product selections
• Ensure maintenance of an up-to-date service catalog documentation for all Cyber Fusion Center services including process workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WI), service level agreements (SLA) and metrics
• Report regularly to the CISO and CIO on the status of the Cyber Fusion Center performance, by providing operational reports and metrics including KPIs and KSFs
• Develop talent in the Cyber Fusion Center team through recruiting, hiring, directing, coaching and mentoring direct reports as well as other DBSS team members where applicable, and supporting team recruitment objectives
• Manage Cyber Fusion Center budget within annual plan
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in Information Security, IT Service Management, IT Operations or other related areas, including minimum of 8 years in Information Security operational management roles
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Sciences or related areas is mandatory
• An information security professional certificate such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent is mandatory
• Broad knowledge and working experience across all Information Security domains, including Threat Intelligence, Analytics, Detection, Hunting, Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Security Engineering domains as mandatory
• Experience in leading highly sensitive and confidential Information Security investigations is mandatory
• An ITIL, project management, IT architecture or other related certificates are preferred
• Professional experience and knowledge of the Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and/or Information Technology industry sectors are preferred
• Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards such as CobiT, ITIL, ISO27001, NIST cybersecurity framework
• Working knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements frameworks related to information security for healthcare data, such as GxP, HIPAA, GDPR and/or equivalent regional frameworks is preferred
• Experience with the cloud transformation programs and cloud security including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) security domains
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure technologies is a plus
• Experience in and working knowledge of IT project management methodologies
• Strong relationship building skills, ability to project executive presence and influence senior decision-makers without direct authority
• Strong leadership, people management and talent development skills
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate across countries and cultures, and at all levels of the organization
• Strategic thinking and perspective combined with necessary attention to detail and delivery focus
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
