Role Purpose:

You are responsible for the collaboration and the expansion of our pharmacy business (incl. virtual pharmacy chains, wholesalers, pharmacy mail order and pharmacy software companies). Achieving the assigned revenue growth for the pharmacy business and managing the panel quality and panel costs is a key task of your job. As a “people person” you understand the business needs of pharmacies and you are managing the effective communication of their priorities and issues within IQVIA.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Understands the key priorities of the clients (pharmacists, virtual pharmacy chains and software companies) and manages the effective communication of their business needs.
  • Achieves or exceeds the assigned revenue growth for the pharmacy business and manages
    the pharmacy panel quality and panel costs (revenue- and cost-budget responsibility). 
  • Develops and executes new contracts and service strategies to sell analytics to all relevant stakeholders in the pharmacy market (incl. associations, pharmacy virtual chains etc.)
  • Achieves or exceeds the assigned contract goals in large and complex accounts (e.g. mail order pharmacies, pharmacy virtual chains or wholesalers).  
  • Identifies new business for innovations and develops relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned suppliers.
  • Manages the overall relationship to ensure a high level of supplier satisfaction and identifies their business needs. Coordinates the involvement of IQVIA resources (e.g. marketing, consulting, client services or other teams dealing with pharmacies).
  • Develops business projects plans and monitors progress. Adjusts plans according to significant changes in business conditions.

Your Profile:

  • A successfully completed Bachelor / Master degree or diploma in Business / Marketing, Healthcare Business or Health Economics. Or a successfully completed professional training (e.g. pharmaceutical technical assistant) and equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of analytical skills and (online and offline) database work.
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience within Marketing, Purchasing, Sales / Account Management, Client Service or within a consultancy environment.
  • Knowledge of IQVIA’s offerings, software-tools (e.g. Dataview) and databases is very useful
    (but not mandatory).
  • Ideally some years’ practical experience within a pharmacy, pharmaceutical wholesaler company, virtual pharmacy chain, pharmacy software company or another
    company / organization within the healthcare system.
  • Experience in consistently achieving assigned revenue- and / or cost-reduction goals would be beneficial. Desirable: Good account development skills.
  • Strong organization, problem solving, planning and relationship building skills are required.
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills in German are mandatory.
  • Business level knowledge in English is required.
  • Excellent MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) skills are mandatory.
  • Availability to travel nationally.
  • The willingness to work office based in Frankfurt.
