IAM Senior Project Manager

  • Provide expertise planning & delivering multiple complex, enterprise, Security Information projects and programs within the Identity & Access Management (IAM) domain.
  • Ensure that all project work is completed and delivered within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, in accordance with SOPs, policies and IQVIA Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Collaborate with project team members, delivery partners, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment of solution and adherence to project plan and schedules


  • The role will focus on all aspects of IAM projects spanning Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Access Management (Authentication, Authorization, MFA, SSO, etc.), and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • The IQVIA IAM system landscape consists of both custom-built solution(s), SaaS/cloud services, and commercial off the shelf (COTS) products, including SailPoint IIQ, CyberArk PAS, Radiant Logic VDS, Azure AD, PingFederate, & WSO2.


  • Leads medium-to-large sized cross-functional teams in the execution of full product development life cycle development.
  • Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Define the projects scope & objectives ensure they align with business cases and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans in IQVIA project management information and tracking systems.
  • Ensure that projects are successfully controlled; monitor progress, address risk and issue management; create, track and report on project timelines.
  • Request project team membership from other departments, as required. Oversee integration activities and dependencies working with other product teams.
  • Coordinate with other project resources within and outside the organization; manage resource conflicts, effective communications/expectations, and stakeholder involvement, as appropriate.
  • Lead problem solving and resolution efforts; implement mitigation plans, and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
  • Work with financial stakeholders to support budget construction, as required, controlling expenditure to achieve financial objectives; produce and distribute status, tracking and financial reports for internal and external team members and senior management; track vendor deliverables and invoicing.
  • Actively compare competing needs and benefits against existing work and strategies.
  • Ensure that staff follows IQVIA Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and Computer System Validation (CSV) procedures.
  • Actively assist in the strategy for continuous improvement to project management best practices
  • Assist the Project Controls Office in removing potential barriers that limit the effective delivery of IT projects within the organization.
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings.


  • Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years formal project management experience, combined with relevant education, training and certification such as PMP.
  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in IT or Management.
  • Experience in executing information security or preferably Identity & Access Management projects.
  • Experience in executing client facing engagements / system implementations.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
  • Large scale enterprise program/project management from conceptualization through implementation.
  • Accountable for accurate forecasting of IT project resources and timelines.
  • Defines, applies, and reports on appropriate metrics for project control.
  • Managing dependencies and integration across multiple IT groups and systems.
  • Ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of audiences, including executive management.
  • Significant experience with System Life-Cycle (SLC).
  • Group motivation and discipline.
  • Proven analytical skills for managing project risks, resources, expectations and budgets.
  • Resource planning and optimization.
  • Budget tracking, vendor management, stakeholder communications.
