Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administration responsibility for our IDMS databases including capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery
  • Perform activities related to database refresh of test environments
  • Migration of IDMS components from non-production systems to production systems as part of the Change Management process
  • Execute IDMS support utilities as needed - e.g. REORG
  • Proactively manage space in the IDMS environment, and in our proprietary archive environment
  • Effectively communicate with management and other team members.
  • Establish working relationships with development/support teams using IDMS
  • Design, code, test, and document software programs needed for investigation of data issues.
  • Participate in resolution of complex software issues that may arise in a production environment
  • Analyze problems, conduct root cause analysis and help in the resolution of problems
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Provide technical assistance during Disaster Recovery exercises
  • Must work well with little direction/takes initiative
  • Experience in working with global delivery teams

Requirements

10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Must have DBA experience on IBM Mainframe preferably IDMS

Must have good working knowledge of IDMS & ADSO


Other Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of assembler
