Purpose:

The Graphic Design Manager role will support multiple business units in delivering design executions based on marketing plans, strategic initiatives and other project objectives all within the IQVIA visual guidelines while assuring alignment to the overall brand vision. This role will report directly to the Creative Director (based in NYC) and collaborate with various designers including fellow designers, internal departments and external design agency partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle various ad-hoc design requests from multiple teams throughout the organization while adhering to the project objectives and milestones.
  • Ability to conceptualize and present innovative design concepts to team and management
  • Creative problem-solving skills and execution of new and existing PowerPoint presentations, templates and slide libraries.
  • Execution of digital designs including motion design, interactive design and prototyping, infographics, iconography, photography, banner imagery and understanding of similar best-practices
  • Potential video + audio production knowledge which could expedite time-to-audience
  • Ability to sell your design concepts to senior leaders and explain your rationale behind your creative ideas

Required Knowledge, Experience & Education:

  • BA or BFA in graphic design or related creative field, with minimum 10 years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Mastery level experience developing and living within corporate brand guidelines
  • Moderate understanding and build experience using PowerPoint and all its capabilities to tell visually-impactful stories with creative solutions
  • Understanding the differences between solving for traditional print design vs digital design
  • Moderate knowledge of building interactive prototypes/modules using tools like InVision, Ceros or Ion Interactive
  • Moderate understanding of website design including comprehension of CSS, HTML and related to know limitations of design executions
  • Basic knowledge of website management tools such as Sitecore, AEM or similar
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Smartsheet, ProofHQ, Workfront or Slope
  • Knowledge of video production, editing, sound effects, and similar capabilities (Adobe Premiere and/or Adobe After Effects) preferred

  • Experience designing within corporate brand guidelines, including enforcing and training internal and external content creators
  • Collaborate across multiple departments within a large corporation and perform well in a team environment
  • Strong personal work ethic and customer services skills that go beyond conventional business hours
  • Ability to be agile, operate with a sense of urgency, deal with change, and demonstrate flexibility in ambiguous situations with good judgment and confidence
  • Balance design thinking and creative solutions with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal business partners and serve as a trusted design advisor
  • Willingness to dive deep into content to comprehend the product and deliver unique visual executions
