We are currently seeking a leader for our IQVIA Technologies Strategy & Commercial Operations Team

The Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercial Operations team is being established to help drive some of the most critical initiatives impacting our business today. Partnering with global and regional business leaders, our team is called on to provide strategic guidance and analytical leadership for a range of initiatives impacting Technology Solutions.

The team helps drive strategies for account coverage and engagement models, market sizing, opportunity identification, account planning, pipeline management, capacity and territory management, revenue risk management, and incentive compensation by leveraging strategic thinking supported by data analysis.

We are looking for a seasoned, versatile Sales Strategy and Operations leader, who can dive into details while maintaining a strategic mindset. This leader will responsible for developing an existing team of both strategic and analytical resources into a high-performing Strategy and Commercial Operations team, while assessing the ongoing needs of the business and optimizing the team appropriately.

The Role

Specifically, you will:

  • Use your understanding of IQVIA’s business strategy, product portfolio and organizational structure to oversee the team’s work by providing strategic direction, clearly communicating expectations and priorities
  • Develop and deliver a GTM Strategy & Commercial Operations capability roadmap, prioritizing based on the organization’s business strategy
  • Evaluate IQVIA go-to-market strategies and practices and recommend changes based on industry leading practices and organizational considerations
  • Formalize GTM strategy approaches and planning related to significant business events like new product launches
  • Consult with global Commercial teams on GTM strategy and best practices for product offerings and launches
  • Drive GTM-related integration efforts for mergers or acquisitions
  • Lead critical workstreams of strategic initiatives sponsored by the most senior levels of IQVIA
  • Work with sales leaders to optimize account coverage and engagement models across Technology Solutions and with the other IQVIA lines of business
  • Support the annual GTM planning process, including developing proposals for resource and capital expenditures
  • Collaborate and build trust with GTM, Sales, Commercial, Finance and Operations teams by improving tools and resources and providing critical business insight
  • Develop and execute creative compensation strategies that attract and retain top sales talent and drive the right behaviors
  • Lead the annual revenue planning process across multiple product portfolios and geographic regions, and support the investment planning process from a GTM perspective, including developing proposals for resource and capital expenditures
  • Quickly identify and diagnose issues, risk or gaps and escalate as appropriate to ensure the team is effectively supporting the business
  • Analyze and determine insights from key business drivers, trends, and operating metrics by translating data into insights and action
  • Drive account planning cadences and sessions with account and opportunity owners
  • Develop account assignment and lead routing processes to streamline efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years’ experience in Sales Strategy and Operations or Management Consulting with increasing leadership responsibilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business-to-business technology sales and organizational practices
  • Strong financial, analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Working knowledge of sales systems and tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for difficult to complex issues
  • Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations
  • Proven ability to succeed in a dynamic & demanding environment to meet critical deadlines
  • Experience in global roles; understand cultural sensitivities and time zones preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills to support the development of a business case/plan and assess financial viability
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into digestible frameworks or messages
  • Able to collaborate effectively across business functions and with different stakeholder personalities
  • Able to navigate and drive alignment in a complex global organization
  • Experienced in program management
  • Eagerness to flex with the needs of the business to take on new challenges
