Position Description:Qualified Biomedical Technicians will be tasked with performing software updates on a fluid management system used in the OR. Prior experience as a Biomedical Technician within a medical environment is required. Prior experience with fluid management systems within an OR setting. This role will primarily include regional and national travel for both service calls and a predefined service schedule. There is also a potential need to complete administrative tasks from home. Any work that is completed must also be appropriately documented and reported against. Responsibilities:Perform software updates on a fluid management system in the OR. Evaluate current software version and determine the need for upgrade. Troubleshoot common issues with software updates. Document all service order activity in CRM and maintaining history records and related problem documentationAbility to effectively communicate and negotiate with customer representatives expectations of when technician will arriveCommunication to internal and external partners around support needs and progressProvide detailed reporting on daily and weekly progress Preferred Job Requirements:Biomedical Technician experience is requiredIntermediate computer skills required: proficient in email, word processing, spreadsheets, basic software, and time and expense systemsMust have intermediate troubleshooting abilities with regard to software updates and common software issues Experience supporting automation equipment is preferredAble to work on an on call scheduleExcellent communications skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneeling and some lifting of equipment may be required of up to 70 pounds FT1
