Enterprise Architect

Job Summary

Assists with the conceptualization, development and implementation of an enterprise architecture which supports future IQVIA systems, products and platforms and that satisfies business product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Chief Technology Officer and other members of the technology leadership team, and key technology stakeholders across the business units, to develop an Enterprise Architecture Vision & Strategy
  • Manage the Enterprise Architecture governance process  
  • Add value to a streamlined and effective process for architecture reviews (Technical Design Authority)
  • Manage the Architecture Review Board process to ratify technology standards and reference architectures
  • Support architecture assessments of acquired company technology assets
  • Review  APIs and integrations for defined certification levels
  • Publish and communicate standards and technology evaluations
  • Create and maintain reference architectures for new technologies and paradigms
  • Work with business unit technology product leaders and architecture peers to develop technology roadmaps across the enterprise
  • Engage and develop relationships with technology leaders across the global organization to identify opportunities to optimize architecture
  • Identify emerging technologies that enable the organization to efficiently execute its technology strategy
  • Identify obsolete technologies and work with technology teams to replace or mitigate them
  • Develop advice to executive and management team on latest architecture principles and approach
  • Research for executive level presentations on technology research, analysis, and architecture strategy as needed

Required Skills

  • Experienced in enterprise architecture, business information modeling, and system design.
  • Experienced in applying technology to business strategies. 
  • IT consulting and project management experience desirable. 
  • Broad knowledge of current technology, tools and techniques for software development.
  • 5-7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering. Masters degree strongly preferred.
