We use large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and models to measure and enhance the effectiveness business decisions. This position requires strong experience in a variety of data mining/data analysis methods and tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and simulations. We are seeking several years of direct experience with developing algorithms and models for predictive analytics. Leveraging proven ability to discover insights hidden in large data sets and drive solutions, you are expected to comfortably interact and work with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams to improve business outcomes.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Provides statistical and machine learning methodology, project management support for Consumer Insights, Marketing Effectiveness and Media Innovations business unit.
  • Develops appropriate methodologies to studies using various IQVIA data, media data as well as several of client data.
  • Implements tactical study plans in answer to business questions, performs quantitative research, and provides written summaries of study results.
  • Will have direct client contact in support of project delivery from technical perspective.
  • Defines statistical design and independently program to meet project information needs, conducts analyses to derive conclusions from the study, and identifies new opportunities for standard reports and for value-added analytics.
  • Works on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices.
  • Build machine learning/statistical models on large healthcare data such as electronic healthcare claims and medical records, extract insights from the data and formulate data driven recommendations
  • Apply machine learning and data mining technologies to develop innovative solutions for the healthcare industry.
  • Work with cross-functional team to support machine-learning algorithms on big data platform to solve a variety of business problems

What we’re looking for:

  • Quantitative background with advanced degrees (Master +) in Statistics, computer science, informatics, data science, or related field. Ph.D. highly preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical models
  • Research experience writing abstracts and publications highly preferred
  • Experience using big data technology
  • Strong hands-on experience with R or Python.
  • Ability to manage, lead and communicate

Also supports the delivery of customized client projects from other Advanced Analytical team on needed Gathers recommendations from others to develop research plans, identifying appropriate data sources, and delivery options in meeting client information and analyses needs.
