IQVIA™ is currently seeking Associate Statistical Programmer Intern in our Montreal, Canada office.
During summer, we would expect approximately 35-40 hours a week. During the semesters, we would anticipate the opportunity for the student to work part time, ideally 15-20 hours a week.  All work hours would be in the office and generally during normal business hours.  Specific schedules would be worked out with each student to accommodate class schedules. This job is for a fixed duration not to exceed 12 months, with no guarantee to subsequent employment with the company.
Provide statistical programming support for the validation and production of derived analysis datasets and statistical outputs for clinical trials. Assist in trial design tasks and data management review and consultation.
  • Assist with updating and programming derived analysis datasets.
  • Update/program tables, listings and figures.
  • Under supervision, perform data review and statistical review of output
  • Assist with CRF review.
  • Assist in validation checks.
  • Assist project lead in fulfilling project responsibilities and meeting statistical project deliverable timelines.
  • Attend internal project team meetings and teleconferences as necessary and appropriate.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention and accuracy with details
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods that apply to Phase I-IV clinical trials
  • Strong individual initiative
  • Strong organizing skills
  • Strong aptitude for SAS computing package skills
  • Strong commitment to quality
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to accept direction of lead team members
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers

Job Requirements

  • For Statistical Programmer role, will consider those currently pursuing Bachelor degree (rising senior on track) or educational equivalent in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field;
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
