**The purpose of this position is to build up our database with candidates who have a skillset that meet the requirements below for future opportunities**
 
The District Sales Manager leads a team of sales professionals working to improve the lives of patients, their caregivers, and families. We are searching for leaders who can motivate and inspire a team, build relationships with internal colleagues and external business partners, and effectively develop their subordinates while consistently exceeding their business goals. The District Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 sales representatives. Preferred candidates will live within reasonable driving distance to a major airport.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and develop selling skills, leadership potential, and business acumen
  • Recruit and retain top talent by creating an environment of learning and growth for long term success and development
  • Conduct regular field rides with all direct reports and prepare/maintain a Field Coaching report identifying strengths, areas of development, business goals and action items
  • Provide consistent and accurate performance expectations and feedback to representatives
  • Comply with all regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • 4 year Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited University required (Advanced Degree a plus)
  • Minimum 7 years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry required
  • Minimum 4 years of Pharmaceutical Management experience, managing a team of successful representatives/specialists preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience calling on Endocrinologists preferred
  • Prior experience successfully hiring, coaching and managing a team consisting of District, Regional or National sales award recipients required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (good listener) required
  • Demonstrated success developing and mentoring sales representatives required
  • Ability to travel 80% of each week required
  • Demonstrate the following: work ethic and integrity; planning, organizing and territory management skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; critical thinking and analysis; problem solving; decisiveness; sound judgment; customer-focused selling skills; basic computer skills; ability to listen and learn.
