This role will be responsible for privacy and information security as it relates to products, platforms, and services managed and developed by the Registry Practice Technology Solutions team, the largest of which is the IQVIA Registry Platform.  Given the regulatory and contractual implications of patient information transmitted, received, and housed in this platform, IQVIA bears risk to guard and protect this information in line with both internal policies and regulatory requirements.  This position will be key in the creation of polices, best practices, aligning with regulation, and collaborating with external third parties. This is a role that require managing client interaction and discussion when it comes the security, privacy, and compliance of our platforms and products. This will require staying up to date with regulation and policy in this space as well as best practices.  All needed certifications and security/ privacy audits specific to these products, platforms, and services will be managed through this role. The role will also be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with various internal groups across IQVIA that serve as enterprise subject matter experts, including regulatory/legal, security, quality assurance, and privacy, among others. The individual in this role must be proactive in creating and maintaining these relationships, and liasing with leaders from these disciplines on a regular basis to ensure our team is aligned to enterprise strategies in these areas, as well as external/customer requirements. 

Job Requirements

  • Strong staff management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple teams
  • Excellent negotiation skills and good understanding of legal agreements (master service agreements, work orders,
  • leases, consulting service agreements, other)
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to use automated project management tools such as Microsoft
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage, develop, administer, and track capital and operating budgets
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; with 12 years IT experience including previous management experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
