Job Description

The Director will support the growth and operations of the Global Functional Resourcing business unit by leading priority initiatives across including, but not limited to: the definition of GFR offerings and market readiness, sales intelligence and operational planning, and margin enhancements against GFR models. These initiatives will directly drive top-line growth and/or margin improvements. Additionally, the Director will support internal business operations including executive reporting and communication needs.  It is expected that the Direct, GFR Strategy will collaborate with leaders in Global and Regional operations and effectively manage range of teams contributing to these initiatives throughout the organization.


  • Support team in optimizing GFR model development and scaling as appropriate, including working closely with Alliance managers to understand improvement opportunities
  • Accountable for leading initiatives to scale and enhance GFR performance; including but not limited to: GFR offering development, account intelligence and sales coordination, margin improvement initiatives
  • Under direction of Vice President support key internal operations needs including: development and maintenance of strategic plan, global communication and marketing coordination, executive reporting
  • Support VP in other planning activities including budget planning, scorecard development and KPIs and continuous  improvement initiatives

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of GFR clinical operations, performance drivers, and various operating models
  • An MBA plus a Bachelor's Degree in finance (business), economics, life sciences or Engineering.
  • Experience with process standardization and offering development a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and business acumen; ability to create and manipulate financial models
  • Moderate comfort level with basic principles of corporate finance and financial analysis
  • 4 + years of Associate Director level experience of relevant functional area, in particular for implementation of strategy management
  • Strong team working skills and orientation particularly in matrixed organization
  • Prefer experience in Management Consulting or operations
  • Sound commercial and industry knowledge and experience
  • Orientation towards constantly seeking new knowledge; a quick study on new topics and comfort with ambiguity
  • Able to operate within an open team environment
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential.
