The Talent Management and Learning & Development of IQVIA works across the all areas of the business supporting leadership, development and a robust learning agenda. A new strategy was announced for this function in January 2018. This work includes a mutli-year roadmap that focuses on building organizational capability around the IQVIA Core, the fly wheel that will drive growth and innovation.

Role Summary:

The Director, Learning of Development is a key member of the overall Talent Management and Learning & Development Team and will support the setting and driving of the agenda. Director level leaders are responsible for leading specific content areas and ensuring quality deliver in all regions.

The Director will work directly with business colleagues and bring solutions to the organization through internal resources and the new L&D Fulfillment Model. The fulfillment model leverages internal and 3rd party partners in the design, development, deployment and reporting of learning solutions. The model encourages a utilizing the right medium for learning efficacy from a broad range of potential learning mediums from traditional classroom training solutions to MOOCs and simulations. In 2017, the IQVIA L&D team were awarded no less than 5 global awards for their innovative work utilizing MOOCs.

To ensure learning focuses on today and the future, this role will work with a Learning Council set up across the business lines. This Learning Councils will ensure IQVIA drives the highest impact and return for the business. Collaboration with the Talent team will include leveraging next generation OD tools such as network analysis to measure learning ROI and impact.

Specific Accountabilities

  • This position will be responsible for the Go to Market / Sales agenda. They will collaborate with the Sales Learning Council to provide transparency on the current portfolio and define priorities and solutions. The Director will:
  • Collaborate with committee members to manage the charter, agenda and cadence of meetings and workshops
  • Define short and long term sales training roadmaps focused on driving growth across all regions and business units
  • Ensure transparency on sales training in all areas and establish a process to increase quality and reduce duplication
  • Define project plans for training deliverables including budgets, deliverable and timelines
  • Manage project budgets and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Develop business cases and advocate for any needed investments in training capabilities
  • Drive alignment with Regional and Global Sales teams to leverage existing solutions across the business and minimize gaps and/or redundancies in the training portfolio
  • Manage scorecards, KPI’s and analytics to report the utilization and impact of the curriculum
  • Establish regular review processes with fulfillment partners to ensure the quality of service level agreements and discuss opportunities to continually improve.
  • Champion innovative learning solutions that reduce waste in learning and drive higher learning efficacy
  • Lead discussions on emerging skill and capability needs in business development and assess how learning and retooling can be leveraged to evolve the workforce.
  • Partner with corporate sales related projects (CRM, Product Training) to ensure these implementation are successfully integrated into the roadmap and deployed on time and budget
  • Keep up to speed on trends in healthcare, technology, learning and talent to increase their insights on new ways of supporting growth, profitability and sustainability in sales.
  • Foster a proactive and strategic, high performing culture within the Talent and Learning team that maintains a clear line of site how our work supports our customers
  • Moderate travel expectation (domestic and international) of approximately 30%

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop a team of geographically dispersed direct reports
  • Ability to deal with highly ambiguous situations in complex organizations
  • Demonstrated success building effective relationships with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and associates across different functions
  • Proven experience planning and delivering large scale projects on time and on budget
  • Strong financial skills and experience measuring and reporting impact and solution measurement skill
  • leading in a multi-faceted, global enterprise (Pharmaceutical/ Management Consulting/ Enterprise Software sectors are a plus)
  • Expert in industry-leading organizational practices in Learning design and delivery
  • Ability to travel nationally / internationally up to 25%.
  • Strong knowledge of available 3rd party training industry supplier ecosystem (service & technology partners)


Education
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred.
