Dedicated Field Nurse

Location: North Holland

The Position:

As a Dedicated Field Nurse, you will work in partnership with centers, patients and care givers to improve health outcomes. Working independently, you’ll advise primary care providers, their staff and patients on the proper use of designated 
treatments for assigned disease areas. You’ll also review patient management in specific disease areas.You’ll have the opportunity to support secondary care providers – as well as patients within their own homes.

Main areas of responsibility are:

  • Regular visit to patients’ home to provide information on therapy, disease and assess compliance situation and identify potential support required 
  • Educate patient and care givers during face-to-face visits and telephone calls on testing approach and dietary self-management 
  • Regular contact with centers
  • General support for all questions related to the disease and/or medication
  • Motivational support to deal with treatment related hurdles; leveraging goal setting & action planning
  • Calculating Phe-levels of daily food
  • Help the patient to implement his dietary plan, this can include shopping or cooking together 
  • Patient education on medication including efficacy, handling, intake and titration. 
  • Reporting and handling of side effects
  • Nurse is able to reiterate instructions given to the patient by center in terms of the therapy regime

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain contact and good working relationships with nursing and medical staff
  • Feedback of activities to the international project manager 

Your Profile:

  • Qualified nurse (level 4/5)
  • BIG registration 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Close affinity with nutrition 
  • Demonstrates both personal and professional maturity
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and can function independently within a team.
  • Demonstrates both personal and professional maturity
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexibility
  • Ability to travel to meet geographical demands
  • Knowledge of languages: Dutch and English. 
  • Knowledge of the current market healthcare landscape 
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Evidence of initiative, commitment, and persistence in achievement of business objectives
