Position Title: Database Support Analyst 1

Department:  Panel Operations

Location: Horsham, PA
 

Summary:
To provide dedicated, proactive focus and support for all reference file maintenance activities within IQVIA to ensure client deliverables are accurate and of the highest quality. Program and field custom surveys on our mobile devices using proprietary software.

Job Responsibilities:
Proactively maintain Master Files using web based app (PLUM)
Ensure all new products are loaded into PLUM and thus the EDC software in a timely manner (Rx and some OTC)
Work and communicate effectively with BD and AS to capture, edit and update project material
Take on tasks currently handled by IT or Network Ops (e.g., annual ICD-10 maintenance, managing physician target files, updating the “most common” lists provided in the EDC software)
Keep up with industry news on new product launches, manufacturer mergers by reviewing the FDA Pink Sheets, pharmaceutical internet sites, and so on.

Quickly become the subject matter expert (SME) with respect to Reference file maintenance at IQVIA
Provide timely resolutions to all reference file inquiries
Assist in current maintenance process reviews by attending and recommending solutions to enhance or improve IQVIA’s referential integrity
Provide subject matter expertise for new marketing initiatives (e.g., HIV bucketing, Oncology regimens)
Program, field and manage custom surveys fielded on our proprietary mobile application including:

Project specifications
Programming survey using our proprietary platform
Deploy survey to our network of medical professionals
Track and report progress

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
At least 2 years of pharmaceutical experience (Certified Pharmacy Technician, pharmaceutical data processing, reference file or other system maintenance)
Detailed and broad knowledge of industry-standard terms (e.g., NDC, USC, ICD-9 codes), and processes (First Data Bank, maintaining client-defined Market Definitions, Alignments or Call Files, etc.)
Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) experience
Strong desire to work cross-functionally, individually and as part of a team, and to work with various levels of staff.

Knowledge of physician-based market research or audits, and the ability to write specifications to developers are definite pluses, but not requirements.
