POSITION PURPOSE

  • To own the overall responsibility of the Belgium Production Operations
  • To lead the Operations day to day activities
  • To manage the internal relationships with the commercial organization and development teams
  • To manage a small team locally onshore and lead many more in offshore hubs
  • To own delivery and data quality metrics and drive continuous improvements




PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop a specialisation into all the IQVIA Belgium data offerings
  • Drive the strategic workflow activities, providing support and expertise in the production of IQVIA Belgium data services 
  • Coordinate various onshore & offshore groups in case of any issue with databases and arrive at quick resolution
  • Act as escalation point between offshore teams and internal commercial stakeholders
  • Manage complex requests from commercial teams and act as a focal point for new requests
  • Execute pieces of data analysis where relevant to answer business questions
  • Investigate challenges, analyse complex business problems and make recommendations to improve on data quality and procedures whilst applying best practices
  • Support Belgium based projects by implementing positive change to aid new business initiatives
  • To explore and analyse large datasets, drawing insight and value to complex business issues
  • To provide requirements for development to implement new tools that lead to improved business performance
  • To think creatively to generate solutions and make improvements to processes that deliver value to our customers
  • Create presentations that translate complex data/process to deliver information in the most appropriate and impactful way to less technical teams
  • Support client facing teams through the provision of specialist data knowledge
  • Contribute to team effort through communication, cooperation and coordination across IQVIA
  • Proactively complete all people management activities including performance management and development




KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interpret and present complex concepts
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously
  • Highly numerate with an unconditional love for data, numbers and analytics
  • Customer-oriented personality with positive drive and a pragmatic, structured approach 
  • Experience leading a team or working with offshore hubs preferred
  • Preferred (but not essential) awareness of Data Visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Spotfire and Big Data tools, such as Hadoop, Data Lakes, Python, R, Machine Learning
  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge desired but not essential
  • Graduate preferably with a mathematical, scientific, engineering or computer science based degree
  • English language spoken
