Manage the merger and acquisitions efforts through targeting, modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Accountabilities, including financial/ staff/ material data as appropriate, and Primary Tasks): 
  • Build and refine complex financial models for company valuation purposes
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses for a range of strategic and M&A initiatives
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements and clearly convey conclusions and insights
  • Perform market research, develop strategic initiatives and build business plans
  • Work with executives and colleagues, target company management teams and external advisors on a regular basis
  • Oversee and maintain deal pipeline, track market M&A activity, put together internal updates, and create deal review presentations for CFO, CEO and BOD
  • Participate in due diligence efforts, including coordinating with internal teams and being point of contact in some cases with the target’s team fulfilling the diligence requests
  • Assist in closing activities
  • Liaises with other departments and business units in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS  (education level / specific work history experience):
We are looking for someone with 12-36 months of total work experience, preferably from an investment banking analyst program or a comparable business development role involving detailed knowledge of financial modeling and valuation.  Prior experience and understanding relating to the pharmaceutical, healthcare and information industries is a plus (though not necessary).
  • Proven track record of success working in a service to business environment and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Possess strong financial, modeling and analytical skills. 
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Possess strong ability to manage/lead/coordinate lateral relationships and cross-functional teams
  • Possess project management ability to complete deal components, such as managing a cross-functional due-diligence teams, under deadline constraints
  • Possess acumen to identify and interpret key factors from complex financial reports, memorandum, meetings, etc. to provide decision-relevant presentations and meaningful recommendations to senior management.
  • Must be able to understand and adapt the function to incorporate cultural nuances.
  • Demonstrated leadership strength and proven past experience in effective problem resolution.
  • Ability to lead, guide and motivate staff to achieve desired results.
  • Willingness to travel as needed up to 25% of time.
