We’re looking for someone with a background or desire to work in a management consulting team with an interest in strategising around IQVIA’s tech/digital portfolio.

You need to have experience developing and preparing compelling case studies, presentations and workshops. We’d also like someone with an understanding of the commercial sales and marketing pharma landscape.

About the Team

The Technology Solutions team provides Technology Solutions to Life Science clients across offerings ranging from CRM, Multichannel Marketing, Social Media, Content Management, Performance Management and Master Data Management solutions.  The team also provide marketing services to Life Science clients by delivering email and direct mail services as well as patient adherence solutions. The Technology Solutions group delivers on the vision of bringing the best of IQVIA’s assets to tackle the challenges of Life Science organisations.

The Technology Solutions team are expanding to deliver the commercial ambition for the future.  The consulting members of the team are challenged with understanding client issues, designing a solution, rooted in technology to solve issues and delivering projects to a high standard. Engagements span CRM and other technology implementations, delivery of social media projects and technology consulting engagements spanning data strategies to customer engagement operating models.

Role Summary

As either an analyst or consultant, you will work alongside experienced project leads and with the technology delivery team.  This is a critical role in delivering value to our clients and ensuring that we grow the services we provide clients.  The cornerstone of this role is to support the delivery of projects to timeline, budget, and with flawless execution resulting in customer delight. Responsibilities will include gathering and reviewing client requirements and assisting in the development of project materials. There are three core requirements:

  • Conceptual thinking – Understanding and translating client needs into actionable technology consulting insights and deliverables
  • Project delivery – Working with consultants and project managers (occasionally, on client sites) to deliver projects such as technology diagnostics or data visualisations 
  • Strategic thinking – Collaborating with consultants and engagement managers to identify external and internal opportunities, e.g. how to win at target accounts and optimize internal teamwork and processes.

You will work closely with colleagues on each project to ensure the most appropriate approach is used to address project objectives and client business issues, within the boundaries of required deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member of project team or running assignments ensuring efficient and effective project delivery to meet client expectations
  • Work on presentation and workshop creation and similar briefing/delivery techniques within Technology Solutions project teams to ensure appropriate client delivery of standardised and ad hoc work to meet our clients’ high quality and timeliness expectations
  • Perform requirements gathering and analysis in order to provide high quality and detailed requirements for technology implementations
  • Remaining current on industry, client and competitive trends through participation in formal and informal learning opportunities 
  • Comply with all relevant IQVIA policies, processes and procedures, and maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information held, processed or communicated by IQVIA, in line with those policies, processes and procedures

Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • You will need to be eligible to work in the UK/EU without sponsorship
  • Minimum 2.1 Bachelor’s degree with moderate to in depth demonstrated related experience in industry or consulting
  • Preferably experience in a consulting firm, ideally with healthcare and life sciences project experience
  • An understanding of the commercial, sales and marketing life science landscape
  • ‘Self-starter’ who is proactively looking for and contributing to moving projects forward, spotting opportunities, and improving processes and materials
  • Proven experience in analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Able to support the execution of multiple complex projects at once within a team environment, to tight deadlines
  • An exceptional communicator, able to convey compelling concepts through presentation slides
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) to a strong business standard
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills for influencing and advising
