Role Purpose

Our Supplier Services Team works closely with key stakeholders including international wholesalers and retailers who deliver medicines to patients throughout the world. The IQVIA Supplier Services Team has the responsibility for developing the relationships with these companies and maintaining the supply of sales data into IQVIA which forms the basis of many of our market solutions.

The Supplier team includes experts in data, technology and consulting. Over the last three years, IQVIA has been developing a new engagement model with one of our key suppliers in Europe. The objective of the dedicated account team, led by a Senior Director, is to build a strategic partnership with the client across the region, embedding IQVIA solutions and technology as well as advising senior leadership on strategic issues. We are now looking for a Consultant to lead the relationship with the client in the UK as well as work on consulting engagements with the UK and broader European organisation.

This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop consulting, healthcare knowledge, leadership and client relationship skills within a growing part of the market working with a dedicated European client account team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver solutions to the UK and European teams:
    • Scope and deliver consulting projects into the UK affiliate
    • Perform quantitative or qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions.
    • Support in the design/structure and completion of client presentations to European Leadership
    • Develop, and present, complete client deliverables within known/identified or newly developed frameworks and methodologies.
    • Develop a good knowledge of consulting methodologies, the healthcare sector and supply chain through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
    • Manage European engagements under the guidance of a Senior Director or act as a workstream lead
    • Oversee the delivery of regular work prepared for the UK team
    • Directly resolve client business questions or co-ordinate resolution of client queries using the broader IQVIA team
  • Lead the relationship with the client UK affiliate as part of the European Team
    • Act as the day-to-day relationship manager for the client UK organisation.
    • Develop relationships vertically and horizontally across the UK organisation, ensuring the value of the IQVIA relationship is understood
    • Identify areas of business opportunity for the client and opportunities to embed IQVIA solutions to support the client’s needs
    • Build an account plan to deliver high client satisfaction
    • Identify potential threats to existing IQVIA business within the client, including client dissatisfaction, competitor activity, low usage or perceived value of existing solutions etc. and either recommend or, where possible, take corrective action to rectify the situation
    • Ensure value creation ideas are shared within the UK client as well as to the European team

Qualifications

  • Graduates with science/biochemistry background (ideally analytical/scientific)

Essential Experience

  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Client relationship building
  • Project management
  • Knowledge of the healthcare market and understanding of role of supply chain.
  • Ability to understand and communicate detailed analysis and reporting on client issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interpret and present complex concepts
  • Understanding and experience of working with IQVIA and non-IQVIA data

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques
  • Competent in the use of PowerPoint to deliver professional client communications
  • Excellent Excel skills and understanding of capabilities of advanced analytical tools preferable (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau) – although training available

Personal Skills

  • Proactive and accountable with the aim to drive positive client satisfaction
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels within IQVIA and clients, building strong and lasting relationships with customers
  • Strong team player able to collaborate across geographies
  • Strong project management and process skills
