Job Summary

The Clinical Systems Specialist I is responsible for supporting the deployment, maintenance and enhancements to FSP Solutions Spark and associated technologies. This individual will work collaboratively with other team members and our clients to ensure that Spark technology deployments are aligned with user requirements.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and configure Spark workflows, checklists, and reports based on customer’s user requirements
  • Work directly with end users and system administrators to answer questions and resolve software configuration and other related problems
  • Provide other ongoing system support activities, as required
  • Perform user acceptance testing on new releases or system enhancements
  • Reproduce, test, resolve and document software bugs, defects and problems
  • Create and maintain documentation and tools used to support configuration management
  • Perform system training for end users and system administrators
  • Create and maintain training videos, user guides, tip sheets, FAQs, and other such materials, as directed by Manager
  • Build custom reports and metrics, as directed by Manager
  • Perform quality control reviews of system data and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Serve as mentor to junior staff, providing required training as well as addressing project questions/issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. preferably in a business, science/health care field, information systems, technology or equivalent degree and/or related experience
  • Two (2) years of experience working with technology solutions that support clinical trial operations activities
  • Prior experience at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, CRO, or other organization supporting clinical research or healthcare activities
  • Knowledge of the clinical trial site activation process preferred
