We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to play an instrumental role within our Scientific Services Real-World Evidence Delivery Team.  The role reports to Louise Parmenter, VP, Global Head, Scientific Services and works closely with Scientific Services global functional heads and across their teams numbering around 300 IQVIA employees.

Within IQVIA, our Real-World & Analytics Solutions (RWAS) business unit employs over 1,000 people, designing, implementing and managing real-world and post-marketing studies. As healthcare stakeholders increasingly need evidence to support regulatory, reimbursement and prescribing decisions, the IQVIA RWES team offers a comprehensive evidence approach to meet our customer’s unique needs for demonstrating safety, effectiveness and quality.  

Role Purpose:

The Quality Manager, Scientific Services, fulfils the role of Local Quality Lead across Scientific Services functions of Biostatistics, Data Management, Epidemiology & Outcomes Research and Health Economics & Outcomes Research.

Responsibilities are outlined below:

Quality Culture: To promote and facilitate the dissemination of the quality culture across local staff. Acting as our local “relay” within local teams promoting RW QM Mission, Vision & Objectives to project teams

Consistent Practices: To identify standard processes that do not have embedded QM and support the project teams in resolving this. Identify inconsistent or inefficient processes anywhere in the organization and work with the local teams and Global Quality Management, as needed, to create/document a more consistent process. Identify best practices in your area that can be shared with other Business Units / Quality Leads to improve the overall efficiency of the organization. Drive knowledge / adherence to QM. Track implementation of QC procedure and QC Plans across projects

Written Processes: Contribute to creation / revision of global and local SOPs. Support roll out of global and local SOPs. Present SOP updates in local team meetings. Identify local SOPs to be incorporated into eSOP

Training: Provide staff updates (movement / joiners / leavers) to Global QM Team. Deliver and support QMS training

Compliance: Drive quality target compliance. Monitors and enforces quality metrics

Reporting: Ensure quality metrics are visible to the local leadership team

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have a solid understanding of clinical and ideally real-world research and all the activities involved to effectively deliver observational studies and clinical trials.  You will also likely have some exposure to quality management in the pharma / clinical research setting.  You will have a drive to enhance quality standards with strong communication, influencing and delivery skills to achieve this.
