Responsibilities

  • Conduct drug administration teaching sessions for new or restart patients as well as occasional follow up visits with established patients.
  • Each teaching session to focus mainly on dosage, storage, awareness of common side effects & tips to manage
  • Check email daily and/or log into scheduling system for patient assignments
  • Accept all patient assignments within 24 hrs. of receiving notification
  • Notify manager about updates
  • Follow-up PSP specific plans
  • Visit clinics / hospitals allocated
  • Reach out to patient to schedule visit within 24 hrs. of accepting assignment—keep scheduler updated if unable to reach patient within that timeframe
  • Fax or scan/email completed visit completion checklist within 24 hrs. of visit to manager
  • Report any AE’s (via phone or fax) within 24 hrs. or per guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid license
  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Experience with teaching chronic illness education preferred but not mandatory
  • Able to travel within the country to meet the needs of the territory
  • Self-motivated, reliable & accountable
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients & stakeholders

Time Allocation

As this is a part-time opportunity, the time commitment expectations are:

  • Minimum of 4 hours/day up to 2 - 3 months and
  • Maximum of 8.5 hours per day from 3rd - 12th month
