Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Technical Lead is primarily responsible for managing reporting and analysis of client data.  Primary work will be to engage Information Technology, the DrugDev Functional Leadership team and Sponsors to ensure analysis, reporting and technical needs are met with respect client data and reporting.  In addition, ensure that DrugDev is effectively measuring the quality and efficiency of our payment services for our client portfolio and operational performance. This will be accomplished by: creating data analysis worksheets, working with Information Technology to create automated reporting for clients and internal customers to provide real time access to reporting and quality metrics; creating and publishing key performance indicators as requested by clients; and analyzing data in order to recommend areas of improvement.  Also, this position will train and serve as Lean/Kaizen subject matter expert to ensure continuous process improvement and efficiencies across the business.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

 Ø  Engage Information Technology, the DrugDev Functional Leadership team and Sponsors to ensure accurate and timely data analysis, reporting and technical needs are met with respect client data and reporting. 

Ø  Experience acting as liaison between Information Technology and function team and leadership.

Ø  Create and generate regularly analytics that measure the quality and performance of all aspects of the payment service portfolio offerings, including: (on time payments, process excellence and cycle times, time and project reporting and customer satisfaction)

Ø  Develop measurements that demonstrate operational effectiveness and productivity.

Ø  Collaborate with the internal Leadership teams,  Payment Management Team, Trial Management team and Information Technology to create a standardized suite of KPI metrics as a part of the Payments offering. Create unique client specific KPI’s as needed.

Ø  Measure the return on investment of special projects and initiatives aimed at system and process enhancements.

Ø  Analyze metrics and trends and make recommendations for process or systems improvements.

Ø  Create ad hoc reports as needed.

Ø  Support the operations improvement initiatives as needed.

Ø  Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does have not supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Experience Requirements

•         Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Accounting, Finance or Business Accounting or related field

•         Analytical background with the ability to establish and maintain open communication between departments

•         Minimum 1-2 years of prior pharmaceutical clinical trial experience

•         Working knowledge of accounting applications for invoicing and accounts payable

•         Prior experience in grant payment or contract activities

 Skill Requirements

 •         Strong PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Office)

•         Organizational skills

•         Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are a must

•         Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

•         Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications

 •      Experience using SAP-Business One, SharePoint or another similar ERP system

•         Knowledge of Clinical Trial Process

•         Knowledge of foreign currency
