Business Analyst – Orchestrated Analytics

Role Purpose

The key function of Business Analyst (BA) role will be to establish a fundamental understanding of a Client’s business problems, and make sure IQVIA puts forward the best possible solutions to meet the client needs that are aligned with Orchestrated Analytics capabilities. The role will work with a range of clients/internal teams on a project by project basis, but will mainly be deployed to the larger, more complex projects.  The BA will work closely with the Client facing teams and the development/delivery teams.

Key Functions

You will be responsible for:

  • Consulting with client/internal stakeholders about requirements, understanding business needs
  • Act as a liaison among stakeholders to recommend solutions to enable the project to achieve its goals
  • Create a full scope document, this can include data requirements, report design, & wireframe solutions (where appropriate)
  • Responsible for running a Scope Review session and collecting feedback from the teams and amending the scope document where applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring Client business rules are fully understood and provide recommendations on how they should be handled.
  • Responsible for ensuring the project key deliverables are fully understood both internally & externally. 
  • Provide input into both SOW & pricing processes.
  • Own the Scope document and update as required during planning and implementation
  • Joining key project meetings when requested to resolve scope questions that require additional information or a change of direction
  • Attending the development demo meeting to help check that the deliverable is in line with the requirements as documented in the Scope
  • Responsible for completing initial UAT testing for their projects to check that scope requirements have been meet.
  • Running Client Workshops to configure the homepage and views with the client where front end is functionality is being provided.

Desired Skills

  • Will be educated to a Degree, HND, NVQ4 level in a relevant subject or professional qualification, with a good understanding of how data systems work
  • IIBA certified or equivalent
  • Experience of both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
  • Experience of Pharmaceutical marketing, sales and/or market research, business intelligence or IT is a pre-requisite
  • Very strong interpersonal skills to be able to make an impact and influence behaviour at all levels
  • Willing and able to work in partnership with the client to solve the client’s problem.
  • Proven ability to gather and review requirements, developing suitable processes, solve problems and review solutions.
  • Ability to work in an environment with changing and possibly conflicting priorities.
  • Able to proactively work with colleagues in other work areas to achieve outcomes.
  • Highly confident to challenge and question to ensure that value for money is achieved from solution developments.
  • Able to communicate both verbal and written forms in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, positive and driven to make an impact in the business
  • Willing to travel overseas as required
