Location – Pentonville Road, London, UK

Salary – £80,000 - £90,000 per annum plus competitive benefits

Car Allowance - £5,850 per annum

Summary

The Attorney 2 ensures that the Company complies with legal and regulatory requirements of the countries in which the Company operates, ensuring the operations comply with local laws and other regulatory provisions and contractual obligations.

Travel is required in this position to other IQVIA offices, suppliers or clients and this may include some international travel.



Description

The Attorney 2 is responsible for:

  • Maintaining positive relationships with investors and regulatory bodies
  • Evaluating proposals, action plans and other situations that may have a legal impact
  • Providing legal advice to Regional Business Units and support as needed to the Corporate Legal team.
  • Representing the Company in legal matters.
  • Meeting legal obligations in all countries in the Region.
  • Compliance with all local laws in the countries of operation.
  • Compliance with IQVIA Internal policies, procedures and standards of business conduct.
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents to ensure legal compliance.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development processes and regulatory environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide others.
  • Excellent problem solving, risk analysis and negotiation skills.
  • Effective organization, communication, and team orientation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
  • Knowledge and working experience of word-processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Requires deep knowledge of one or more related job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with multi-country international prior experience, working across multiple legal jurisdictions.
  • Providing legal support to clients in support of the commercialisation of pharmaceutical and medicinal products.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in areas of law also to include corporate, commercial, privacy/GDPR, contract, employment, information. security, intellectual property, and support on Mergers & Acquisition transactions and consulting and services engagements.
  • The ideal candidate would typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline.
  • Comfortable in an agile, dynamic environment and able to juggle priorities.


Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Must be experience in the clinical and commercial pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
  • Must have studied and obtained a law degree in the UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Must have a valid and current practicing law certificate in the country of the candidate’s legal qualification with at least 5 years post qualified experience.
  • Must be up to date on any required continuing legal education requirements for maintaining a valid practising law certificate.
  • Minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience, including both law firm experience and in-house company experience with a global international company, operating across multiple countries and legal jurisdictions.
  • Prior experience in client contracting in the Research & Development outsourcing space.
  • Experience of providing legal support to clients on technology contracting, vendor contracting, and a variety of collaboration and partnership agreements
